Challenge Complete

The Colchester Cycle Challenge ran from 17 May to 30 May 2010. 870 people from 50 organisations took part, logging an incredible 25,453 miles via 3,697 trips. The Challenge inspired 152 new cyclists to take to their bikes. 43% of registrants were non-cyclists (cycling less than once a month) and 22% were occasional cyclists (cycling 1-4 times a month).

Three months after the 2010 Challenge:

  • 19% of non-cyclists reported cycling at least once a week
  • 58% of occasional cyclists reported cycling at least two days a week
